Melchers China represented at “Xplore China – Shaanxi” delegation
End of June, Stefan Woditsch, Director of Operations China of Melchers China, attended the three-day Xplore China delegation of AHK Greater China to explore business opportunities in the northwestern Chinese province Shaanxi.
The delegation consisted of over 50 representatives from Sino-German businesses, associations and politics. Their visits took place to Xi’an High-tech Development Zone, the NEV manufacturer BYD, Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies (BLT), and Shaanxi Automobile Group Commercial Vehicle.
During the 2023 Sino-German Cooperation Forum Xi’an, hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, the delegation’s participants were able to get first-hand knowledge of Shaanxi rounded up by matchmaking with local companies in both Xi’an and Baoji.
Shaanxi is considered one of the cradles of Chinese culture and for more than a thousand years, several important dynasties had their capital on the territory. The province is home to about 40 million people and is known for abundant national resources (oil, gas, coal, titanium etc.) and China’s largest inland port.
