Invitation to “CBBC’S UK-CHINA Consumer Week –Decoding the phygital retail in China”

Post-pandemic China is a consumer market redefined. While some of the fallout of the pandemic reflects the acceleration of market trends already under way, such as live commerce and hybrid physical and digital consumer events, others have emerged as a reaction to the crisis and its impact.

The rise of the Zhai (stay-at-home) economy is transforming ways of shopping, communicating with brands and self-expression for millions of Chinese consumers. The first foreign brands recognize the trend in the consumer goods sector. Even those who previously used brick-and-mortar sales are now turning around. They all want to benefit from the booming online sales.

What new opportunities are there for UK companies? To answer these and other questions, the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) is organizing a digital round-table discussion together with Melchers and a panel of expert speakers on April 19, 2021.
