Dr. Mike Hofmann participated in a panel discussion themed ” Navigating a Complex Market: Marketing and E-commerce Strategies of German Companies in China.” He joined guests from the Chinese and German business community to explore the current challenges and opportunities in the Chinese market. The discussion covered trade policy changes, industry landscape adjustments, and new trends in the e-commerce sector. Drawing on Melchers’ extensive practical experience in the Chinese consumer market, Dr. Hofmann shared his unique insights on business development in China.

As one of the earliest foreign enterprises to enter the Chinese market, Melchers has upheld the philosophy of deep-rooted and long-term partnership since its arrival in China in 1866, accumulating over a century and a half of business experience in the Chinese market. From a traditional trading agency to a comprehensive business portfolio spanning machinery and industrial, consumer, and healthcare sectors, Melchers has developed a profound understanding and rich firsthand experience in how German enterprises can adjust strategies and seize opportunities in complex market environments. Dr. Mike Hofmann’s invitation to participate once again demonstrates Melchers’ role as a bridge between Chinese and European commerce, contributing to fostering cooperation, sharing experiences, and addressing challenges together between Germany and China in complex market environments.
