Melchers Shanghai Receives Visit from German Student Network China

Recently, Melchers Shanghai received a visit from the German Student Network China (GSNC). Claus Toxvig, CEO of Melchers China and Hong Kong, together with his team, warmly received the students, kicking off an exchange journey that was both professional and interesting.

As a multinational company that entered the Chinese market in 1866, this year marks its 160th anniversary in China, Melchers detailed the company’s century-old development history to the students, focusing on the market entry strategies and layout logic of its three core business lines—industry & machinery, consumer, and healthcare in China. Combining practical cases, Melchers shared how to tailor market solutions for partners to help them break through geographical and cultural barriers, and also frankly exchanged the challenges foreign enterprises face in their operations in China and corresponding response experiences.

At the end of the Q&A session, students actively raised questions about topics they cared about, such as Chinese market positioning, cross-cultural collaboration, and supply chain. Melchers had in-depth discussions and exchanged views with the students, jointly exploring feasible paths for enterprises to develop in China.

This reception is not only an opportunity for Melchers to share industry and market experience, but also an important measure to build a bridge for Sino-German youth exchanges. Adhering to the concept of openness and win-win, Melchers looks forward to interacting with more young students in the future and injecting new vitality into the integration of Sino-German economy, trade and culture.
