Melchers Grandly Opens Guangzhou New Office
As Melchers Group celebrates its 160th anniversary in China, the grand opening ceremony of Melchers’ new Guangzhou office was successfully held. Senior executives from Melchers Group, representatives of the German Chamber of Commerce South China, and numerous long-term partners gathered at the event to witness this important milestone, renew friendships and discuss future cooperation.
As a German multinational corporation with a history of more than 200 years, Melchers established its first office in Hong Kong in 1866, marking the beginning of its profound bond with China. Melchers Group was also among the first foreign enterprises to invest and conduct economic and trade activities in China following the reform and opening-up, witnessing and deeply participating in the historic course of Sino-German economic and trade cooperation. Historically, after the founding of Melchers Hong Kong Limited in 1866, Melchers set up its first office in Guangzhou in 1892, and re-established a Guangzhou office in 1985 after the reform and opening-up. The opening of the new Guangzhou office pays tribute to Melchers’ 160 years of deep commitment to China, and also demonstrates the Group’s determination and confidence in further optimizing its China market layout and expanding its business in South China.
At the opening ceremony, distinguished guests jointly unveiled the new office and expressed their wishes for Melchers to write a new chapter of development in China starting from this new venue. The professional service team of the new office will further enhance Melchers’ localized service capabilities in South China, better align with the needs of regional clients and partners, and support the efficient advancement of business operations.
