Melchers Joins Hands with Wintersteiger at WWSE 2025, Advancing New Developments in the Ice and Snow Industry

In October 2025, the World Winter Sports Expo (WWSE 2025), coinciding with its 10th anniversary, successfully concluded at Beijing’s Shougang Park. Melchers Group, with a history of nearly 220 years, participated in this event together with its long-term strategic partner, Wintersteiger. Leveraging its professional services and technical expertise, Melchers engaged with global industry peers to explore new pathways for the development of the winter sports industry.

At the expo, Lorenzo Tertan, Head of Sales Export Wintersteiger Sports GmbH, delivered a keynote speech titled “How to KEEP FUN on the slopes,” introducing three core elements: “infrastructure, confidence, well-maintained gear.” This concept aligns closely with Melchers’ strategy of deepening its presence in the Chinese market. Since the commencement of this partnership in 2010, Melchers has been fully responsible for the sales and after-sales service of Wintersteiger’s sports products in China, contributing significantly to its strong market performance in the country.

To illustrate technical solutions, members of the Melchers team and Lorenzo Tertan jointly showcased the Wintersteiger Jupiter series equipment. Equipped with innovative V-Edge ceramic grinding technology, this series achieves a precise balance between ski grip and controllability through flexible combinations of five ski tuning modules and three-level maintenance applications. The “professional equipment + customized services” model attracted in-depth discussions among attendees. This demonstration continued to highlight the technical advantages of the collaboration between both parties—from servicing the Beijing Winter Olympics to preparing new equipment for the Harbin Asian Games, Melchers has become a key bridge for bringing world-leading ice and snow technology to China.

Currently, ice and snow sports participation in China has reached 313 million people, with the industry scale hitting a new high in 2025. This participation not only deepened Melchers’ collaboration with industry partners but also precisely identified the market’s growing demand for professional equipment and upgraded services. A representative from the Melchers Group stated, “Leveraging our nearly 160 years of operational experience in China, we will continue to work closely with Wintersteiger to introduce more professional products for the ice and snow industry to the Chinese market.”

Looking ahead, Melchers will uphold its professional ethos and continue to promote the localization of ice and snow technology. Melchers looks forward to reuniting with global partners at the 2026 expo to collectively chart a new vision for industry development.
