SENTINEL is an advanced quality control system designed to 100% inspect the printed web material.

SENTINEL is equipped with one high speed line scan camera that continuously acquire very high resolution image of the entire web. Thanks to this specific technology it is possible to visualize and inspect all parallel labels of one reel with a single image. Different configurations and camera resolutions are available to optimize the performances for every application.

SENTINEL immediately identifies defects, such as missing colour, spots, substrate damages, remaining matrix, splices, colour deviation, text defects, hickeys, poor quality codes and colour mis-registration.

SENTINEL, thanks to its highly flexible configuration can be easily integrated into any production line. The system can be integrated into the printing machine. It is possible to configure the system to the reel width dimension and obtain an appropriate uniform illumination.

SENTINEL can be installed on the slitter machine too where the system can be directly connected to the machine and stop it in case of defect on the reel.

When a defect is found, the operator is alerted and he can take action immediately avoiding large amounts of waste. The type of defect is logged in order to provide a detailed report for each roll.
